CAN provides: Training and Development Needs Analysis, Governance Audits, Resilience and Risk Analysis, Project Audits etc.: analytical tools to enable rapid, economic, accurate benchmarking of strengths and weaknesses and/or level of legal and governance compliance, resilience, financial performance, or service delivery, producing management information to enable remedial and improvement actions.
Training : enables people to take forward successful and sustainable co-operatives, credit unions, housing co-operatives and social and community enterprises. Stand alone or a series of workshops, training days or short courses “live” or via webinars.
Consultancy: expertise in all aspects of organisation and management, governance, change management, business planning and finance. We walk the walk before talking the talk so CAN has run as a co-operative and a social enterprise since 1989. Our consultants work with organisations large and small, young and old, and across trade sectors from archaeology to zero carbon projects.
Legal Registration Services: development of governing documents that meet legal requirements and needs of new co-operatives and social enterprises as Registered Societies or Companies, acquiring additional legal status such as CIC, changes of Rules or Articles and migration from one legal form to one more appropriate. CAN has assisted registration, migration or re-registration of more than two hundred enterprises
Key Worker Support: CAN twins key workers with our specialist to provide the comfort of knowing that “getting unstuck” or addressing a particular thorny issue is just an email away.
Accounts: CAN has Accountancy Technicians and the software and infrastructure to provide computerised book-keeping services, payroll and pensions administration remotely, deal with VAT, draw up management accounts and statements for year end and tax computations to HMRC.
Financial Management: financial information plus the skill to interpret and brief directors on what it actually means. Our finance specialists take the level of responsibility required including serving on Boards as Finance Directors.
